The motion of charged particles in electric and magnetic fields it treated in considerable details as per the structure of the atom and the atomic energy-level diagrams and its modifications in the cases of gases and vapor at high pressure, and in solid conductors. These are necessary for the understanding of semi-conductors and semi-conductor devices.
